EnvelopiQ Open Control Systems Validated Custom Solutions
Depauw University is a small liberal arts college with a student body of 2,100. It boasts small class sizes, a high graduation and job placement rate, and 695 acres of campus and community space. It recognized that its aging technology and facilities were deterring new students from applying.
Generation Z students want to see the college incorporate current technology and acknowledge technology in ways that make the college think and consume energy and information differently.
Depauw turned to EnvelopiQ to turn their space into a smart campus.Soon students will be able to use voice command devices in their rooms, have strong Wi-Fi available everywhere, video stream lectures, and sync their personal devices to university systems for a smooth single user interface.
The project includes a 10-year Housing Master Plan to build eight new residence halls and renovate two existing halls, a $30M library renovation, and 10-year Technology Roadmap to transform the student experience.
